I'm a Mac, and I'm glad Mac OS X wasn't my idea
I had to install Windows 7 in a virtual machine to test Internet Explorer (and nothing else). After doing a fresh install of Windows 7 Home Edition, the VM started acting strangely. I didn't install any software other than Chrome and Firefox, and I didn't do anything outside of navigating to a couple (safe) websites.
Soon enough, the entire VM crashed, and when I rebooted, I was greeted with this lovely dialog:
I let it sit there for a while, but nothing happened, so I tried clicking the "Cancel" button. In true Microsoft cryptic user-hating fashion, this is what appeared next:
I've been using Mac OSX since the public beta of 10.0, and I have never experienced anything like this. I thought Windows 7 was supposed to be this "giant leap" in reliability, speed, user experience, and other nonsense.
Windows 7 is just Vista with a facelift. Sure, it has a few extra things here and there, but it's still Windows to the core. Over the years, I've given up trying to convince my Windows-using brethren to switch to a Mac, but I just don't understand how Windows people can put up with this crap.
